My Philosophy
I believe in respecting the natural world and I always strive to follow the Leave No Trace principle. No animal is ever baited or coerced for the sake of a photograph. Every image is the result of patience, observation, and a deep appreciation of nature.
Through my photography, I strive to bring viewers into the quiet, special moments that define life in the wild, and have defined important moments in my life. My goal is to spark curiosity and foster a deeper appreciation for the incredible diversity of life around us.
More About Me
I grew up in Toronto, Canada, where my love for nature took root early through hiking and backpacking with my Dad. Those formative experiences instilled in me a deep respect for the wilderness, and my fascination with wildlife grew as I immersed myself in the documentaries of David Attenborough. The Life of Mammals in particular shaped my belief that as long as I am in wild places, sharing space with the world’s incredible species, I will always feel content.
I pursued a degree in zoology in southern Ontario before continuing my studies with a wildlife-based diploma in Alberta, and ever since, Western Canada has felt like home. My background as a wildlife biologist has allowed me to explore Canada's diverse landscapes, deepening my connection to the species and ecosystems that have long inspired me. Now, I reside in southeastern British Columbia, surrounded by the wildlife and wilderness that continue to fuel my passion.
Thank you for visiting my site and taking the time to explore my work. I hope my photography inspires you to pause, appreciate, and connect with the incredible wildlife and landscapes that surround us.
